Half for lunch and half for tea

The app has become my ruler. I no longer read anything written on packages, I just use the app. I've just finished my free introduction and gone onto the 'Lite' version so we'll see if that is enough or whether I need to pay.

So far I have gone over my carb target every day. Never by much, and I'm not going over my calorie limit too much, but it is really hard to keep carbs low. It is also impossible to spread carbs out throughout the day. Especially when today is your son's birthday and he wants Spaghetti Carbonara for tea. What am I supposed to do? Have half for lunch and half for tea? I don't actually know if I am supposed to do that (try and spread them out I mean) but I am trying my best to keep close to (below if I can) my daily limit by eating minimum carbs throughout the rest of the day.

I'm also not very good with the 5 portions of fruit and veg and 8 glasses of water per day. 2 glasses of water is my limit and, unless I'm cooking veg as part of an evening meal, then the fruit and veg bit passes me by. I can't do fresh (raw) fruit and veg due to an allergy I have, so the old "just have an apple instead" doesn't work on me. I think I'll try tinned fruit. That might work...

What I have learned so far...
  • · Plain tap water isn't as bad as I thought
  • · I never have been, and I'm still not a fan of cooked breakfast
  • · I don't move as much as I should
  • · I quite like berry smoothie, if someone else makes it for me.
